Volleyball Recap: Westwood Gets the Win

If Skyline wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westwood, they should've done a better job of containing Ada Larsen. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Coyotes on Monday with plenty of help from Larsen, who had 12 digs and one assist. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

While Westwood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elianna Bancroft, who had 14 assists and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirstin Beckwith, who had nine digs and one assist.

Westwood's win bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Skyline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Westwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Red Mountain on the 15th. As for Skyline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Dobson on the 16th.
