When it comes to explaining why Ponca City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tay Moore. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 56.4% of Ponca City's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zadyn Stoll, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Muskogee's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Ponca City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Muskogee will be playing at home against Broken Arrow at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Broken Arrow presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Muskogee in Oklahoma (Broken Arrow is ranked 17th, while Muskogee is ranked 221st). Ponca City's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bixby at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bixby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,119 points over their last 16 matches.
