After losing to the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats the last time they met, the LaFayette Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went LaFayette's way against Trinity Presbyterian on Thursday as LaFayette made off with a 72-50 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for LaFayette.
LaFayette had a senior duo take command as Vaderrian Story scored 27 points along with 6 rebounds and Branaviyun Story dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Story has scored at least 25% of LaFayette's points. Jordan Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
LaFayette's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
LaFayette will head out on the road to face off against Dadeville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Elmore County at 6:15 p.m.
