Volleyball Recap: Kettle Moraine Victorious

Kettle Moraine posted their closest win since September 19th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Dominican Knights. The win continues a trend for the Lasers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Kettle Moraine who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 11-25, 15-11.

Kylee Zell paced Kettle Moraine's offense, picking up six kills. Zell got some help from Courtney Kojis and her nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why Dominican lost, don't look at Gabby Johnson. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and two assists. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Kettle Moraine's victory bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Dominican, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-8 record this season.

Kettle Moraine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Green Bay Preble on the 4th. As for Dominican, they will head out to challenge St. Thomas More at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
