Basketball Recap: Frontier School of Excellence Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Frontier School of Excellence won the last time they faced Academie Lafayette and things went their way on Tuesday too. Frontier School of Excellence strolled past Academie Lafayette with points to spare, taking the game 40-26. The win made it back-to-back victories for Frontier School of Excellence.

Frontier School of Excellence's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nate Grayes led the charge by dropping a double-double with 19 points and 25 boards. The dominant performance gave Grayes a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Merwis Ramirez Rodriguez, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Frontier School of Excellence's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Academie Lafayette, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Frontier School of Excellence and Academie Lafayette will both be playing St. Vincent de Paul Academy the next time they take the court. Academie Lafayette will head out to face St. Vincent de Paul Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Frontier School of Excellence will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th.
