Walden Grove 15-3,
Santa Rita 27-2 and Walden Grove 13-4.
Jacob Frithsen was the best pitcher in IV Section II this week, leading
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. He won one game and struck out nine batters.
Although
Fort Thomas surrendered only two walks this week, the lowest number in the league over that span,
St. David is still tops for the season with just five walks over ten innings this year.
Duncan had trouble finding a groove at the plate as a team this week, racking up a league-leading 43 strikeouts. The league's worst in that category with 43 strikeouts on the season are the Wildkats.
Ten batters hit over .400 this week. Leading the pack was Carlos Mesa, who hit .750 by going 3-for-4.
Zach Malis led the league with ten hits this week for Desert Christian. On the season, he's hitting .500 and ranks first in the league with 18 hits.
Malis drove in four runners on Monday in the Eagles' 15-3 victory over Walden Grove. He went 4-for-5 and scored three runs.
Alex Carrera struck out 14 in
Ray's 13-5 win over
San Manuel on March 7. Over his seven innings pitched he allowed five runs on six hits.
