New York School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mia Garcia, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Garcia scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Crystal Pon, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five blocks.
Green Meadow Waldorf's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for New York School for the Deaf, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Green Meadow Waldorf does not have any more games scheduled as of now. New York School for the Deaf won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lexington School for the Deaf at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Lexington School for the Deaf comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
