After flying high against the Parkhill Christian Academy Chargers back in November of 2023, the Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian Wildcats came back down to earth. Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian was the victim of a tough 68-46 loss at the hands of Front Range Baptist on Friday. If Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian hoped to take revenge for the 54-44 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Front Range Baptist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mark Sutton, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sutton pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Granthan, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Front Range Baptist, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian will head out on the road to square off against Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Front Range Baptist, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Campion Academy at 6:30 p.m.
