The Wakefield Bombers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Solomon by a score of 37-24. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but Wakefield was the (much) better team in the second half.
Wakefield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Rohr, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rohr has scored all season. Allison Adams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Wakefield's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Solomon, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakefield will take on Peabody-Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wakefield is facing Peabody-Burns at the right time seeing as Peabody-Burns is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Solomon, they will be playing at home against Herington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Herington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Friday.
