The Crescent Loggers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a tough 58-35 loss at the hands of Forks on Monday. Crescent has not had much luck with Forks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Crescent's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Naomii Spraque, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Cargo-Acosta, who scored 10 points.
Crescent's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Forks, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Crescent will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Darrington at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Forks will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Raymond at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th.
