The De Leon Bearcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Santo Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
De Leon posted their biggest victory yet this season two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 59-16 win over Ranger at home. The victory was just what De Leon needed coming off of a 62-35 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Santo took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 60-18 victory over Ranger. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-8.
De Leon pushed their record up to 7-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Santo, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.
De Leon barely slipped by Santo in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 45-44. Does De Leon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
