Basketball Recap: Brennan Chambers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Spring Creek over Arendell Parrott Academy

Spring Creek lost against Arendell Parrott Academy back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spring Creek Gators fell to the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots 63-58. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennan Chambers, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Chambers is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Jackson, who posted 18 points.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Spring Creek and North Duplin will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenfield at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
