The Fort Lee Bridgemen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cresskill Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Hopefully Fort Lee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
Fort Lee suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 65-33 loss at the hands of Pascack Hills. Fort Lee has struggled against Pascack Hills recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Fort Lee saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Guy Vickers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Vickers is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Jang, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, even though Midland Park scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, Cresskill still came out on top. Cresskill snuck past Midland Park with a 63-59 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cresskill.
Fort Lee bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Cresskill, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7.
Fort Lee suffered a grim 63-42 defeat to Cresskill in their previous meeting back in December of 2017. Can Fort Lee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
