After a string of three wins, the Tensas Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Delhi by a score of 59-57. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tensas in their matchups with Delhi: they've now lost eight in a row.
Jimmy Spruill was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds for Delhi. Spruill hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. Carter Dural was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Tensas' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Delhi, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Tensas will head out on the road to challenge Delhi Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Tensas' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Delhi, they will be playing at home against Delta Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delta Charter is coming into the matchup with eight straight defeats on the road, meaning Delhi will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
