The Shakamak Lakers and the North Central Thunderbirds squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Shakamak Lakers had to settle for second. They fell 33-26 to the Thunderbirds. Shakamak's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
North Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalyn Davidson out in front who scored 11 points along with two steals. Shelby Seay was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Shakamak's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for North Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
Shakamak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Central and the Patriots will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Bethesda Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
