Los Alamos is a perfect 10-0 against Espanola Valley since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Hilltoppers are taking a road trip to challenge the Sundevils at 10:00 a.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Los Alamos has nine straight wins, Espanola Valley has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Meanwhile, Espanola Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Grants on Wednesday and fell 15-14. Even if the Sundevils couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Espanola Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Los Alamos has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Espanola Valley, though, as they've been averaging 12.7 hits. Given Los Alamos' sizable advantage in that area, the Sundevils will need to find a way to close that gap.
Los Alamos took their victory against Espanola Valley in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
