Westside put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Laurens Raiders. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Peyton Milford and Tyler Scott made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Milford pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Scott struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Milford scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Scott scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
