Will Holden posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Holden and Swain County will challenge Robbinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Maroon Devils are 8-2 against the Black Knights going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
