The Atlanta Hornets lost against the Milan Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Atlanta took a serious blow against Milan, falling 67-36. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Atlanta in their matchups with Milan: they've now lost four in a row.
Emerson Pauley was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points for Milan. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Marian Dabney, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Milan, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Atlanta will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Milan will take on Meadville in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at. Meadville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
