The Indian Springs Thunderbirds will head out on the road to challenge the Round Mountain Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-30, which was the final score in Indian Springs' tilt against the Eagles on Tuesday. Indian Springs was down 52-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, Indian Springs saw an underclassman step up: Vance Dilger scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Round Mountain entered their tilt with the Leopards with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Round Mountain came out on top against the Leopards by a score of 60-52 on Tuesday.
Nick Scraper was a one-man wrecking crew for Round Mountain as he scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scraper has scored all season. Marquez Zamora was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Indian Springs' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Round Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Indian Springs came up short against the Knights in their previous meeting back in January, falling 40-34. Can Indian Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
