The Macon County Bulldogs stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-28 win over Central at home. Winning may never get old, but Macon County sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Macon County found their leader in underclassman Morgan Cochran, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Cochran hasn't dropped below 22 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Towanna Cochran, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Macon County is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Macon County will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumter County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Georgia (the Panthers are ranked 101st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 231st). As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Taylor County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
