Basketball Recap: Mount Hope Christian Academy Skates Past West Logan Christian Academy with Ease

Mount Hope Christian Academy won against Paden City last Tuesday with 84 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors breezed by the West Logan Christian Academy Warriors to the tune of 84-51. Mount Hope Christian Academy pushed the score to 66-36 by the end of the third, a deficit West Logan Christian Academy had little chance of recovering from.

Leading Mount Hope Christian Academy to victory were RYAN PERRY and TALAN CARON. PERRY dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while CARON went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance also gave CARON a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was MALACHI FLOHR, who posted 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Mount Hope Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Mount Hope Christian Academy's record is now 7-9. As for West Logan Christian Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
