Holly Hill Academy found their leader in underclassman Essie Wolpert, who scored ten points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wolpert has scored at least a third of Holly Hill Academy's points.
Jefferson Davis Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for Holly Hill Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13.
Jefferson Davis Academy will face off against Curtis Baptist at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holly Hill Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. Faith Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
