Corvian Community had a senior duo take command as Cam Johnson rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries and Noah Best rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Best got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 74 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Del Bene, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Corvian Community was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Corvian Community wouldn't let Ballantyne Ridge keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force 16 fumbles. Chris Peavy Jr. led the group effort, picking up five of those forced fumbles all by himself.
Meanwhile, Garinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took an 18-0 bruising from Harding University.
The win made it two in a row for Corvian Community and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Garinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
