Ridgeline has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Mountain Crest Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgeline will be strutting in after a win while Mountain Crest will be coming in after a defeat.
You can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Ridgeline's strategy against Sky View on Friday. Ridgeline enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over Sky View. Given Ridgeline's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Sky View is ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carson Cox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Francom, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mountain Crest came up short against Bear River on Friday and fell 63-51. Mountain Crest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ridgeline pushed their record up to 16-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Mountain Crest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
Ridgeline didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mountain Crest in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgeline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
