The Middletown Blue Raiders will take on the Oley Valley Lynx at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Middletown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Middletown turned things around against Susquehanna Township on Saturday. They never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Raiders considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Kenadee Hileman made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hileman was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Ja'Liyah Stover was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Meghan O'Brien was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Middletown hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Oley Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Brandywine Heights Area.
Oley Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Ott, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Oley Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Middletown, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Middletown got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Oley Valley by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Blue Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lynx turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
