Foard is 9-1 against Maiden since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Foard Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Maiden Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Foard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Foard waltzed into Tuesday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 win over West Lincoln.
Foard can attribute much of their success to Davoney Dellinger , who scored 16 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds. Dellinger is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jessica Bailey , who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Maiden kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a tough blow as they fell 49-30 to South Caldwell. Maiden has not had much luck with South Caldwell recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Foard's win pushed their record up to 3-0, while West Lincoln's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-3.
Foard beat Maiden 60-52 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Maiden's Kennedie Noble, who scored 21 points. Now that she won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Foard to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
