The Fulton Hornets's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They snuck past Marshall with a 61-57 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Stephen Caviness, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Kueker, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Fulton's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Marshall, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton will take on Boonville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Boonville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 233 points over their last four matches. Marshall will be home for the holidays to greet Moberly at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
