North Duplin has gone a perfect 10-0 against Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rebels will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. North Duplin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.
North Duplin proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by six) and last Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past East Columbus 8-6. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Hayden Miller looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Garris Warren was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and two runs. He has become a key player for North Duplin: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Noa Quintanilla, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
North Duplin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Union came up short against Westover on Tuesday, falling 14-3. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Union saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Riley, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Tyson Riley also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for North Duplin, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Union's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Duplin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .419. It's a different story for Union, though, as they've only averaged .163. Will they be able to contain North Duplin's hitters?
Everything went North Duplin's way against Union when the teams last played back in March, as North Duplin made off with a 36-0 win. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
