You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Northville's strategy against Corinth on Monday. The Northville Falcons were the clear victor by a 47-23 margin over the Corinth Riverhawks. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Corinth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sage Shanahan dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Shanahan.

Northville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Corinth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Northville Falcons challenge the Duanesburg Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Corinth, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Argyle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
