Make it six blowout wins for the Grafton Clippers this season. They really took it to Poquoson for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-29 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Grafton sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Grafton found their leader in underclassman Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Ragland is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Alonni Wells was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight assists and five steals.
Grafton pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Poquoson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will take on Bruton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poquoson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
