After flying high against the North Vikings on Wednesday, the Aquinas Knights came back down to earth. Aquinas fell just short of Manchester by a score of 38-36. Aquinas lost against Manchester in their previous head to head back in February of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 69-24 score last time.
Aquinas' loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Paris Everett and K'Lynn Carter. Everett scored eight points along with six rebounds, while Carter dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Carter scored a full 36.1% of Aquinas' points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Aquinas bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Manchester, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.
Aquinas will head out on the road to face off against Dover at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Manchester, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Fairless at 7:00 p.m.
