The Murtaugh Red Devils were the 52-31 winner over the Hagerman Pirates when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Murtaugh was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 53-52 to Hagerman.
It was another big night for Ky Kendall, who scored 21 points along with 4 steals for Hagerman. The game was Kendall's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Gonzalez, who scored 15 points along with 7 assists.
Murtaugh now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Hagerman, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Murtaugh will be playing in front of their home fans against Camas County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Camas County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Hagerman, they will head out on the road to face off against Hansen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
