Despite their loss, Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cameron Swist, who scored 22 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliott Colin Fenderson, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, even though Pilibos scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, Oakwood still came out on top. Oakwood snuck past Pilibos with a 69-65 victory. The victory was all the more spectacular given Oakwood's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Pilibos is ranked 126th).
Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Oakwood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
