Despite the defeat, Gulf Pointe Latin had strong showings from Bethany Crumpler, who posted three points in addition to ten boards, six steals, and five assists, and Kaitlyn Lothringer, who earned 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those five assists gave Crumpler a new career-high.

West Florida Baptist Academy found their leader in sophomore Bryse Burkett, who made all 8 shots she took racking up 17 points and seven steals. Thanks to that strong game, Burkett now owns an excellent 45.7% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Enfinger, who had eight points and four steals.
West Florida Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points over those games. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Gulf Pointe Latin has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like West Florida Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.6 boards.
