The Cedar Park Timberwolves will head out on the road to challenge the Liberty Hill Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Cedar Park has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Liberty Hill will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Tuesday, Cedar Park came up short against Rouse and fell 65-53. While losing is never fun, Cedar Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Rouse is ranked 29th).
Reid Vines put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points. Kalen Williamson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Even though Liberty Hill has not done well against Glenn recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Liberty Hill took down Glenn 61-43.
Cedar Park's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-13. As for Liberty Hill, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
Cedar Park didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Liberty Hill in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
