The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marvelwood in their matchups with Boston Trinity Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Boston Trinity Academy had a senior duo take command as Wellbi Perez-Valera dropped a double-double on 36 points and 11 rebounds and Gabe Glover dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Glover has scored at least 25% of Boston Trinity Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Cameron Martin, who scored 10 points.
Marvelwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Boston Trinity Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Marvelwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakwood Friends at 2:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for Boston Trinity Academy, they will square off against Forman at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
