The Kankakee Valley Kougars lost against the Andrean Fighting 59ers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Kankakee Valley took a 32-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Andrean. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kankakee Valley in their matchups with Andrean: they've now lost four in a row.

It was another big night for Maddie Walton, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Andrean. That makes it three consecutive games in which Walton has scored at least a third of Andrean's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlee Evans, who scored four points along with two steals.
Kankakee Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Andrean, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-13.
Kankakee Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Rensselaer Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rensselaer Central will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Andrean, they will head out on the road to face off against Chesterton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chesterton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Andrean likes a good challenge.
