The Bethesda Christian Lions's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They rang in the new year with a 55-46 win over Pantego Christian. The victory was just what Bethesda Christian needed coming off of a 54-32 loss in their prior contest.
When it comes to explaining why Pantego Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aj Brooks. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points. Brooks continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamerson Green, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Bethesda Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Pantego Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethesda Christian is on the road again on Saturday and play against Christian Life Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Christian Life Preparatory will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Pantego Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Country Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Country Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
