After flying high against Shelbyville Central last Tuesday, Spring Hill came back down to earth. Even though they lost, Spring Hill didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 13 strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence County only tossed five.
On Lawrence County's side, Jack Emerson was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, a triple, and two RBI. Isaiah Bentley was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Spring Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Lawrence County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-10.
Spring Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Pleasant at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrence County, they are on the road again on Monday to play Shelbyville Central at 6:00 p.m.
