Trinity Christian is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Community Christian is on a 11-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Trinity Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Community Christian likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Trinity Christian strolled past Faith Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. Trinity Christian pushed the score to 61-36 by the end of the third, a deficit Faith Christian Academy cut but never quite recovered from.
Carter Jordan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 22 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Davenport, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Community Christian can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Southside Christian 66-36 on the road. Given Community Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Southside Christian is ranked 510th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Community Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 22-1.
Things could have been worse for Trinity Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-46 loss to Community Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Community Christian's Tavares Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds.
