They walked away with a 44-34 win over Gadsden County. For Taylor County, this counts as revenge for the 44-22 loss Gadsden County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Leading Taylor County to victory were Jershila Glover and LeeAsia Johnson. Glover scored 13 points, while Johnson scored 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Taylor County's points.
Taylor County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Gadsden County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Taylor County will be playing in front of their home fans against Godby at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gadsden County, they will head out on the road to challenge Madison County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Madison County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Gadsden County in Florida (Madison County is ranked 138th, while Gadsden County is ranked 444th).
