The Fisher Bunnies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 40-32 to Lexington. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fisher of the 49-32 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.
Defeat or not, Fisher got some senior leadership from Melina Luyando and Jenna Clemmons. Luyando scored 13 points, while Clemmons. scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Clemmons hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Fisher has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Lexington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-13.
Fisher will be playing in front of their home fans against Cissna Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lexington, they will head out on the road to challenge Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
