That result was just more of the same for these two, as Union Christian Day also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2021.
Union Christian Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Gage, who scored 18 points. Gage continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaeden Brown, who scored 15 points.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Reed, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Clay Ballard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Union Christian Day's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Hawthorne Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

As for Hawthorne Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Carolina Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
