Basketball Recap: Jefferson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Lennard came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Jefferson, but Damaria Pitcher wouldn't allow it. The Jefferson Dragons really took it to the Lennard Longhorns for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-29 win thanks in part to Pitcher, who posted 30 points. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Jefferson's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Lennard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Spoto at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson is facing Spoto at the right time seeing as Spoto is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Lennard, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Riverview Sarasota at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverview Sarasota will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Lennard surely won't give up without a fight.
