Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact South Vermillion proved on Thursday. They breezed by North Vermillion at home to the tune of 64-36. That looming 64-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for South Vermillion yet this season.
South Vermillion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aden Wallace, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Wallace pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Bush, who scored 15 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Attica's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by Fountain Central on the road and fell 76-27. Attica was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-8.
The victory makes it two in a row for South Vermillion and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Attica, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
