Alvin's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Elgin,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-12.
 Alvin has already played their next contest,  a  2-0  loss against Bastrop on the 22nd. Hopefully Elgin paid attention to the Yellowjackets'  game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Yellowjackets  at 11:30  a.m.  on Saturday.
