After flying high against Chase last Friday, East Burke came back down to earth. East Burke was dealt a 53-24 loss at the hands of East Rutherford on Friday. East Burke didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as RJ Williams, Trevor Fraley, and Jaxson Wiley picked up one apiece. Wiley got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Brandon Pinkerton produced another solid effort rushing for 155 yards and three scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry for East Rutherford. Pinkerton's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 114 rushing yards. Zeke Wingo was another key player, rushing for 82 yards and one TD.
East Burke's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for East Rutherford, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
