The Estero Wildcats will head out on the road to  square off against  the Bonita Springs Bullsharks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The last three games Estero has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Tuesday, Estero had just enough and edged out Community School of Naples  7-6. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by  just one  run.
 Estero saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Drue Overmyer, who  went 2-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI. Another  was  Sandro Hernandez, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bonita Springs didn't have quite enough to beat Charlotte on Tuesday and fell  4-3.
  Travis Holappa was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  5.2 innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Holappa was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Estero has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bonita Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Estero has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.4  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bonita Springs struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 7.4  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Estero skirted past Bonita Springs  5-4 when the teams last played  back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
