Clyde is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Wall is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bulldogs will welcome the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clyde is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Clyde is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since March 5th on Friday. They fell just short of Jacksboro by a score of 9-7. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
Sterling Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Michael Albergucci, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
16 must be Wall's lucky number: they beat Merkel with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Hawks didn't even let the Badgers on the board, marking the Hawks' second-straight 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Wall got a massive performance out of Jacob Braden, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellan Oliver, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.
Wall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .514 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Clyde's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Wall, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Clyde hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Wall struggles in that department as they've averaged .398. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clyde might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from Wall in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
